By car: Exit the A1 highway at Florence south tollgate and follow directions for PONTASSIEVE-BAGNO A RIPOLI to leave the highway turn-off.Follow directions for Pontassieve. Once the village reached, take the road toward FORLÌ up to RUFINA, drive through the village up to the chemist’s shop and turn left. After 200 metres you reach Montebonello passing the bridge over the river Sieve. In Piazza Pertini turn right, then take the first road in the left and the next in the right. This is the road that leads to the village of ACONE. After 2.5 Km take the small road to the left. After 600 metres you will find the parking area of the holiday farm. Podere il Poggiolo Holiday Farm is located in the open country, therefore if you decide to come by plane or train you will need to rent a car to reach the farm and go sightseeing. The closest airport is in Florence (Amerigo Vespucci).The closest railway station is in Rufina (4 Km from the holiday farm), with good connections with Florence Santa Maria Novella station.The train may in fact be a good alternative to the car for visiting Florence.
